What if I need to change my password?

How do I update my contact information?
To update your contact information, select the “menu” button (located on the bottom right hand corner of the app’s home screen), then “my account”, and finally select the pencil icon (located on the top right hand corner of the app’s screen
How do I add or edit my payment options?
To add or edit your payment options, select the “menu” button (located on the bottom right hand corner of the app’s home screen), select “Manage Payments” and follow the prompts to add, delete or modify your credit card information.
Once purchased, how long will I have access to the tour?
Tours are taken from your mobile device through the Built Story app and are available for 30 days from date of purchase. Tours can be stopped and started as many times as desired. Additionally, you may retake the tours as many times as you like – as long as it is within the 30-day window.
Can I pause the tour while I am taking it?
Yes! Built Story offers lots of flexibility to the exploring traveler. If, during your tour, you stumble upon an excellent coffee shop, or an outdoor market, or simply want to wait to complete it until the next day – the user has that option. You may start and pause the tour as many times as you would like within the 30-day purchase window.
How long do tours last?
Tour length depends on a number of factors, including the amount of stops, the distance between stops and speed of the participant(s). Also note that a tour taker can choose to pause the tour as many times as they wish -- within a 30-day window. This means that the overall time of a tour could probably last anywhere between 60 to 90 minutes, if the user takes the tour from start to finish without interruptions.
Can I share my tour?
Yes! But, please note that each unique device will need to purchase each tour separately.
How do I know which ages each tour is best suited for?
When tours are made, the tour creator selects which ages are most appropriate for the tour content and location. You can see the age recommendations on the app, within the tour details description. As always, we urge parents and caretakers to use their own discretion when embarking on tours with minors.

Can I share my Journal to social media?
If you do wish to post to social media, you can do so through the journal button located on the bottom of the home screen.
How does the Journal feature work?
The journal feature allows you to document your trip with your own comments and photos. You can create a journal entry at each tour stop. Once you have completed your journal entry, you are prompted to select “submit”. Pressing “submit” saves your journal to your own personal device only. It will not be public.
Is my journal private?
Yes – unless you wish to share it. If you choose to write a journal entry within a tour stop, you will be prompted to “submit” it once done. “Submitting” a journal entry means only that you are saving it to your own personal device, private to yourself. You can later choose to publish it to your social media accounts – but only if you would like to.
Can I become a tour creator?
Yes! Anyone can go from being a tour taker to a tour creator. Simply login from a desktop computer and follow the step-by-step instructions through the website to create your own merchant dashboard. Once your dashboard is created, you can begin creating tours.
How are tours created?
Tours are created through the merchant dashboard on the Built Story website. Tour creators are the only members of the Built Story marketplace that can create a tour.
How do you become a tour creator?
To become a tour creator, simply login from a desktop computer and create your merchant dashboard. Once your dashboard is created, follow the step-by-step instructions through the website to easily create tours for others to learn from and enjoy.
Can I sell my tours for more than $10?
At this time, no. But keep your eye out for updates on this policy.
Can I create a tour in a language other than English?
Built Story is working to bring extended language capability to our app and website. Please stay tuned!
When will I receive payment?
When users purchase tours through an iPhone, Apple, unfortunately, holds all revenue flow for up to 75 days, before releasing to Built Story. Once in receipt, Built Story will work to pay Tour Creators as quickly as possible.
When users purchase tours through an Android, however, this delay does not exist. Tour Creators will receive payment for tours sold to Android users in 3-5 business days.
How much does the tour creator get paid?
All tours are sold to users at $10 each. This revenue will be split between the Tour Creator, and support of the Built Story platform. There are some additional processing fees, from entities outside of Built Story, that are estimated to be about $0.18 per tour. This will be deducted from the Tour Creator. So Tour Creators should receive approximately $4.82 per tour sold on our platform.
